Today I got down to business and got a few more rooms of my house cleaned and done to snap some pictures!!! Of course after I snapped these pictures this morning, my friend Stephanie came over and helped me hang most of our artwork... so I'll be posting more pictures in the near future with stuff on the walls.... but for the most part this is how our house looking as of right now. I still haven't done 2 rooms... the guest room and the office/crafting room (which so far a lot more crafting has been going on than officing :) ), also there is the master bathroom that I'll snap a picture of later.
This is the shelf that Mom and Dad got for Michael for his birthday. We filled it with things that belonged to his Aunt Teruko and his Nana along with some of our wedding gifts and then I put our cookbooks on the bottom to make it bottom heavy to decrease the likelihood that it may topple over.
Our 1970's chinet cabinet is filled with barware on the top and then in the bottom is where I have all of my corningware. Off to the sides are items that haven't found a home in the house yet but I'm working on it.
This is our kitchen. I've never hung actual curtains before and these curtains belonged to Michael's nana... whom I am sure was laughing at me the whole time that I was putting them up.
This is the foyer... our front door is to the right in the top picture and behind me in the bottom picture. I'm going to move that picture over because it's bothering me. In the top picture I'm standing in the kitchen in the little nook where the shelves and the chinet cabinet are.
Here are some different views of the living room... I'll have to turn the lamps on when I take pictures next time.
Got the kitty bed all set up
These are the curtains I made today for in the bedroom. I took one of my favorite tapestries and cut it in half... obviously... but I made sure to do it in such a way that I can alter them when we move. For instance... next time we move if the curtains are longer and shorter I can take out the top seam and turn it to where the half circles will create a full circle again. This window is just so wide that it worked best to sew them sideways. I kinda like it though. This tapestry has elephants and peacocks on it and I got it years ago at bonnaroo. There is a store in Marysville here that has a purple elephant tapestry that I'm thinking about getting to make a valance for the top.
Beautiful!!!!!!!!!! It sure was looks chearful and comfortable.
