Our special gift to our parents and to ourselves

Since Michael and I were home for 2 weeks I decided there was no better time for us to get a 3D ultra sound done so that we could have our parents there with us to share it with.  It was so amazing to watch.  Pearl was very sleepy and didn't want to move at all.  She was facing my back so the tech had to really jiggle her awake.  Once she was awake (or as awake as she was going to get) the tech was able to get some really cute pictures of her and confirm that she is still a girl!!!  The thought had crossed my mind of "What if it's a boy?". I'd only have 3 months to change a few things in the nursery and change out all of the girl clothes that I have for boy clothes.  I was already starting to map out a plan just in case.  It was really amazing to get to see all of her precious little features and oogle at her together.  She is truly our Precious Little Pearl.

Her little feets

An open eye and her hand up

All tangled up in her own legs

She sure likes to have her arms up... I think swaddling might be somewhat of an issue

This one is one of my favorites.  I blew this one up to 8x10 and framed already <3

Such a girl pose with her hand on her cheek

Another girl pose.  She looks like her cousin Carley to me in this one :)

A sweet little smile.  She looks like her cousin Brentley to me in this one :)

"Aw Mom, can't I go back to sleep now?!"

Starting to turn back over and go to sleep.  She definitely likes to sleep facing me.
We sure are infatuated with our Precious little Pearl <3

Miss Pearl's Super Sweet Baby Shower

Michael and I are so blessed to be part of such an amazing family and to have so many lovely people who care so much about us and about our sweet baby girl.  Today, my cousins threw us a beautiful pink and gray chevron baby shower for our Little Pearl.  The decorations were beautiful, the food, the cupcakes, and the punch were yummy and the company was delightful.  We appreciate everything so much.  There were a few people who I unfortunately didn't get a picture with (including one of just me and my mom, my aunt and I, my cousins and I, my husband and I when he came at the end, and a few other people who came), but I really enjoyed getting to see each and every one and share this day with them playing games, visiting, and celebrating our sweet girl.  These are the pictures taken by my mom and a few by me.  I look forward to getting more pictures from other people via facebook to add to this post!!!  <3  It was a beautiful day and we are so grateful for everything.

An emotional hug with my Mommy after opening the special gift.

The tearjerker of the day.  Mom found an envelope with my brother Cody's name on it containing $20 so with his money she went to St. Mary's Bookstore not knowing what she was going to get or what she was looking for.  She found this Pearl Rosary and knew this was what he wanted her to get for his niece.  I'm sure there wasn't a dry eye there.  I opened the card and as soon as I saw his name began to tear up and by the time she was done with this story I was sobbing and everyone else was crying too.  It was an extremely emotional moment for us all.
