On this base... Antelopes just kinda chill out everywhere... and it's totally normal
We had the BEST time in Denver!!! I wish I'd of taken more pictures of the 16th street mall since that's where we spend half of our day. The 16th street mall is in Downtown Denver and it's a road about a mile and a half long lined with stores, cafes, restaurants, breweries, souvenir shops, etc. We stopped at Rockbottom Brewery for lunch. The food and beer was amazing!!! Nachos, Margherita Pizza, and Mac and Cheese to go with our beer. I loved the Red IPA and Michael had a flight. We also stopped in at a huge souvenir shop... didn't buy anything though, and a fantastic Tibetan store (I wanted to buy so many things but didn't want to spend what he was asking for it... looking back there are 2 things I should have gotten anyways... oh well). A lot of the stores were normal stores... like Ross, Nike, Payless, etc.... but they did have a Bare Escentuals store. I needed some new foundation anyways so I tried out the Matte and loved it. I also got a Moxie Lip gloss called Spark Plug. After that it was time to head toward our favorite brewery... Left Hand. It was about half an hour north from downtown Denver. When we got there, Michael was like a kid in a candy store... or a man in a beer store full of nothing but his favorite beer. We quickly learned that they give free tours and jumped right on it!!! We grabbed a couple of beers, some safety glasses, and I grabbed some "booties" (super ugly rubber shoes required to go over my sandals about 8 sizes too big) and we took our tour. Michael was in heaven. He got to ask some questions he's been dying to know and I got to drink while he did it. After the tour I noticed a man behind the bar pouring a beer and quickly realized from the huge photo of the main workers on the wall (didn't take a picture... damn) that he was one of the 2 creators. I pointed him out to Michael and we went over and asked him to take a picture. We talked to him for a little while and he's former USAF so they had quite a bit to talk about. We got 4 growlers of Michael's favorite beers, a couple of T-shirts and we were on our way North again to Cheyenne Wyoming for our next overnight stay. We stayed at F. E. Warren AFB and it was so cute. The whole base was adorably colonial and had that horrible echo that you find in older homes like that. It would drive me insane to have that echo and hollow floor feel constantly. But again it was adorable. Antelope would just chill out everywhere and it was totally normal. They'd even let people get close to them. Since it was a Sunday, pretty much everything was closed by the time that we got there so we found the only Chinese Restaurant and had a Volcano drink for 2, General Taso Tofu, and Sesame Shrimp. We passed a store called "Ancient Sage" that was an awesome looking hippie type store. I really wished it had been open. Then we went back to the room and crashed early. It had been a long fun day and we were exhausted.
