Downtown Old Sacramento
Michael and I had a great time exploring Sacramento today!!! I drove and he took pictures while I drove... I took the rest of them. When we got to Sacramento we had NO idea where we were going so I just followed the first signs I saw which happened to be for Old Sacramento. It was like stepping into the wild west turned tourist shops. We didn't stop because it was all food and souvenir shops... instead we drove toward actual downtown. We parked and walked around for a little while and then decided to stop and eat at Rock Pizza... was a cool little place. They had an acoustic band that played a lot of Dave Matthews, Oasis, etc. They had a really nice looking brunch menu and bottomless $8 mimosas. We didn't get that though... we got pizza, calamari, and garlic bread, a beer each and the most amazing bloody mary we've ever seen. It was garnished with pepper rings, olives, a pepper, green beans, and BACON... also it was rimmed with like a tomato basil salt... YUM!!! Then we left to watch Wrath of the Titans in 3D. It was GREAT!!! I'd definitely watch it again. When we were walking back to the car we stumbled upon the Pyramid Brewery... so we stopped for a couple of beers. I had the Heffy and he had a 5 beer flight. Was very good!!! Afterwards we left Sacramento to head back to Marysville to check out the mall. It's actually pretty decent. Then it was back to the hotel for left over pizza, video games and blogging. Mom made her famous Bunny Faces for Easter tomorrow.... can't wait to have some when I get home!!! :)
I LOVE all the palm trees. They always feel like "vacation to me".
ReplyDeleteMe too!!! I was actually surprised to see them since we're so far north!
